Morton on Swale Park Project

Morton-On-Swale Parish Council are committed to developing a high quality, clean, safe, fully accessible public park on the playing field for the local and wider community which will have dedicated areas for all ages, abilities and interests.

The aim of the project was to provide a high quality, clean, safe, fully accessible public park for the local and wider community which will have dedicated areas for all ages, abilities and interests. Morton-On-Swale was in desperate need of a new play park. The old park was over 20 years old, timber and was often avoided by potential users over concerns about its safety, specification and poor condition. The Parish Council owns and is responsible for maintaining the park and provided 40k of the match funding to fund any improvements. The committee responsible for the project have engaged, involved and consulted the community from the beginning to ensure the end result is something that if fit for purpose to the needs of the community.

The Play Park Committee have successfully secured the £120k for the installation of the park. A big thank you goes to the park funders:

Tesco Bags Of Help
Yorventure
Veolia Environment
Big Lottery

The Park, completed in early June, is a resource for all the community to enjoy. For further information please contact Kirsty McGready on vwbeetle99_2000@yahoo.co.uk
